Cooper in February

Here is a little flash back to February

when life got to busy to blog about.

Daddy take me to the gym with you.

The heater broke one morning (back in below 0 degree weather) fortunately Dave was a superhero had it fixed in less than two hours.  Cooper got wrapped up extra warm that morning.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Howdy do!

Our Elementary School PTA has a Daddy Daughter Dance each year.  

This year they had a western theme.

They have a DJ and dancing, lots of line dancing this year.  Dave thinks line dancing makes for good exercise.

 I think maybe she gets her silly face making ability from her dad.

 They have a photographer come and take pictures, for a price. We forgot to send money so they couldn't buy the picture.  But I think Dave did a great job with impromptu pictures.

We did the math really quick, Moey will be in 7th grade when Halle starts Kindergarten, so he won't get ever get the chance to take both of his girls to the Daddy Daughter Dance at the same time.

I'm still unclear if he finds that sad or relieving.  :)

Pirate School

It is our turn for Joy School again.  I literally did the happy dance when I figured out that we would learn about the letter P on our turn.

P. puh puh PIRATE!

We had pirate hats, and pirate snacks. We worked on pirate puzzles and pirate worksheets.  We played pirate games like walk the plank and find buried treasure and pin the patch on Pirate Pete, and feed the shark.  We make hooks and telescopes and searchers for hidden P treasure.

 Unfortunately, I got so excited playing pirate, I forgot to take more than 2 pictures,

Harry Potter Night

(Warning: long post)

We have been very excited for Harry Potter Night.  We got a Hogwarts acceptance letter about a week before.  

The great feast!

After we ate we headed to Diagonally for school supplies and costumes.

We also stopped by Gringots to pick up our gold.

Back at Hogwarts we found a trapdoor filled with Devils Snare.  We safely navigated the Devils Snare and found some flying keys that lead us to a unique puzzle...

That adventure left us famished, so we headed to Honeydukes.

 Honeydukes had a whole bunch more treats I could have shown, but this is already a very long blog. :)

  Dumbledore welcomed us back to Hogwarts, and wanted to be our Valentine.

He explained the house points, and how Gryfindor will always win.

He showed us the sorting hat. (We have all been sorted before, so we didn't need to be sorted again.)

He warned us of the dangers in the forbidden bathroom.

Then it was time for classes.

Professer Snape made us brew potions, and then we had to taste them to see if we made it correctly.  Fortunately no one died to we must have passed that class.

The Daily Prophet reported that the Dementors have joined He Who Must Not Be Named, and all the the Azkaban prisoners have escaped.

There are some dangerous Wizards on the loose

And some crazy ones!

(And ones who must practice making faces in the mirror.)

We are not to scared of the escaped prisoners because we have Dobby around to save our lives.

We spent the rest of the evening at a S.P.E.W. club meeting making 'Potter Stinks' buttons.

Pink Eye Stink Eye

Pink Eye has been going around, and Gavin got it too.  He missed 3 days of school, and washed his hands raw at home.  Luckily, his eye cleared up just in time for Harry Potter Night.!
